Talking Drums is a unique percussion trio that interprets traditional afro-caribbean rhythms and adpats them to an original music format combining contemporary drumset, hand percussion and vocals. In this video funk drumming innovator David Garibaldi, Cuban-born hand drummer Jesus Diaz and San Fransico Bay Aera percussionist Michael Spiro, perform and breakdown several exciting compositions which demonstrate the rich complexities and possibilities for both hand drum and drumset. The innovative patterns and creative soloing by these three musicians will open many doors for percussionists and drumset players alike. The booklet includes drumset, conga, timbale, shekere, bata, and bell notation for each composition.
