Knut Nystedt's De Profundis was chosen as 'The Work of the Year' in 1965 - an award given by the society of Norwegian Composers - and was elected by the jury of the International Society for Contemporary Music for a performance at The World Music Festival, Stockholm, in 1966. This is an exciting choral work for SATB (divisi) chorus (a cappella), providing a challenge for the advanced choir.
