Karel Husa is a Czech composer, the bulk of whose career took place in the last half of the twentieth century. The Sonata A Tre is for Violin, Clarinet and Piano and was premiered in Hong Kong in 1982 by the Verdehr Trio. It is an exciting and virtuosic piece which explores new sounds and techniques both on individual instruments and as an ensemble.
