Missa Solemnis In B Flat (or 'Harmoniemesse') is the last major work completed by Haydn, written when he was 70 years old and at the very height of his creative powers, and represents the final summation of a long artistic life.
Missa Solemnis is a very substantial work, written for solo quartet, a four-part chorus of mixed voices, organ and (Classical) orchestra. This version, edited by William Herrmann, contains all voice parts and a piano reduction of the orchestral score.
