This work presents royal portraits of five of England’s queens: Mary Tudor, Elizabeth I, Anne, Victoria and Elizabeth II. Majestic and regal, these are thoughtful pieces for two-part upper voices and Piano accompaniment by Marian Lines and Betty Roe.

A practical work that will bring enjoyment to all groups, it was written for Merton Schools Music Association and first performed by them in 1977 – the jubilee year of Queen Elizabeth II.
